On June 2022 Tshegofentse Training Academy proudly handed over certificates for Chemical Operations NQF L2 to 9 employees of Ngwathe Local Municipality in Parys, Free State.
The genesis of this wonderful project was initiated thanks to Chieta, the chemicals sector SETA awarding fully funded us Employed 18.1 Learnerships. We then found a willing and active partner in Mme Mapitso Motha the HR manager at the Ngwathe Local Municipality in Parys.
The project allowed for 9 municipal employees to be trained on a fully funded learnership towards acquiring further relevant education in their workplace at the Water Treatment plant. Qualifying learners got to understand the various chemical and treatment process operations, apply and understand the principles of chemistry in industry.
The leaners are now empowered to monitor and control process plant operations. The project was driven our Operations Manager Collen Mahlatsi and Basetsana Sapelong our Training Projects coordinator.
